The Sustainability Report for the year 2022 is made with reference to the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) international reporting standards and presents in detail the economic, social and environmental impact of the IULIUS Group, highlighting our contribution to achieving the Global Sustainable Development Goals and reflecting the commitment and our continuous effort for sustainable development

Green spaces
For more than 20 years now, through our projects we have been helping develop the cities in which we invest responsibly and in line with sustainable business principles. Developing green areas for the community has been one of our priorities in recent years and such projects will continue.
Zero Waste
It can be a long way from collection to recycling, but our projects have an integrated system for the separate collection of household waste, as well as composters for processing food court food waste and green waste from the gardens. This reduces household waste by up to 40%.
Energy
Saving energy and the subsequent use of renewable energy sources are the most efficient means to decarbonize cities. IULIUS has implemented photovoltaic panels in all its assets, which will help save approximately 10% of the Group’s total energy consumption. Thus, we manage to remove 1,500 tons of CO2/year from the cycle, which would result from conventional sources. To better understand the impact, the same effect would be achieved by a mature forest with more than 20,000 trees.
Mobility

In recent years, we are witnessing a paradigm shift from car-centric urban mobility to sustainable, people-centric mobility. IULIUS is helping to change the vision regarding urban mobility by promoting walking, biking, and scootering in our projects, by optimizing the existing infrastructure and decreasing automobile dependency.
Community
A strong community is about the actions of each and every one of us. We are all responsible for new future perspectives, for protecting the environment, educating the younger generation and ensuring the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
